MA LPC #1937
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wyoming and Colorado. I grew up in Wyoming before moving to Denver to attend undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Denver. While in Colorado, I earned my MA in International Disaster Psychology, focusing on trauma and culturally-informed, quality clinical care. I currently provide client-centered individual therapy for adults and children in Wyoming and work to create a safe space for clients to explore their sense of self and self-worth, life’s stressors, transitions, relationships, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe that healing happens best in relationships, and I work with clients collaboratively to establish treatment goals and new pathways forward to a healthier and more fulfilling future.
As a therapist, I am warm, understanding, supportive, inclusive, and professional. I believe that identifying unhealthy patterns in relationships, behavior, thoughts, and emotions can be a great first step in working to change those patterns. Through trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and mindfulness practices, I work with each client to explore their life experiences, both current and past, and work together to identify healthy coping mechanisms, build trust, and work toward a brighter future. Additionally, I use play therapy with children in order to better connect and speak the child’s emotional language of play.
I understand that reaching out to a therapist can be intimidating, but I encourage clients to give themselves permission to do so, as engaging in regular therapy is one of the most meaningful forms of self-care. Even the strongest people can use support navigating life’s many challenges.
